Our vision is that:
Vulnerable and disadvantaged communities of Myanmar live in a safe, secure and healthy environment.

Mission

We engage with and empower vulnerable and disadvantaged communities of Myanmar to live a dignified and sustainable lifestyle with:

• secure housing;
• clean water supply;
• hygienic sanitation; and
• financial security.

We work with communities to develop projects, programs and activities that respect and engage with their cultural and traditional values.

We develop skills, knowledge and expertise within the communities with the support of our volunteers, sponsors and donors.

Values

Digging Deep’s actions will be guided by the following values.

• we ensure that 100% of public donations are directed to projects on the ground;
• we work with, not impose upon communities;
• we promote sustainability – short term support, not long term dependency;
• we respect the people and their cultural values;
• we have no religious or political affiliation;
• we engage our volunteers, donors and sponsors to ‘keep them in the loop’; and
• we are transparent and accountable in our organisational governance.
